The kidneys are complicated organs that perform various biological roles. kidneys are located on both sides of the spine. These organ filter water and waste products from the blood and produce urine and also control the blood levels of some chemicals like sodium, hydrogen, and potassium. kidneys maintain the bones healthy.

Main functions of kidney :-

  1. Filter wastes products and excess water.
  2. Control the chemical balance of your body.
  3. Organizing the amount of water and salt in the blood
  4. It controls the blood pressure

What is kidney failure:-
Kidney failure is a condition in which the kidneys are not work properly and not able to filter waste products and extra water from the blood. Kidney failures are temporary or permanent. Acute kidney failure is, when kidney failure happened suddenly due to a reaction to medicine, an accident or other reason. If kidneys are permanently damaged means your kidney function is below 10% to 15% and then you need renal kidney replacement therapy to stay alive. There are three types of conditions that can cause acute kidney failure.

Prerenal causes :-

  • Low blood pressure by serious illness, surgery and shocks.
  • Loss of blood supply to the kidney due to blockage of the renal artery or vein.
  • Low blood volume or decreased blood flow
  • When heart not function properly. Heart attack or heart failure can severe limit blood flow to your kidneys.

Renal causes :-

  • Infection in the kidneys
  • Medications or toxic injury
  • Hemolytic uremic syndrome

Postrenal causes :-

  • Bladder obstruction
  • Ureter obstruction
